30 Days of Gratitude
Hi Patrons and friends! I wanted to open us all up this month to participate in 30 days of creativity centered around gratitude (because it’s NOVEMBER and THANKSGIVING). I’ll be spending a little time every day challenging myself to create — and following prompts as I go.
I would love for you to join me! Each day, we’ll create something inspired by gratitude — art, a poem, a photo, a video… Anything. This challenge is designed to inspire creativity and mindfulness as the month of Thanksgiving approaches.
I encourage all of you guys to join me and post on whatever social you prefer with the hashtag #KatesGratitudeChallenge — and tag me @hackettkate so I can see your awesome stuff! It’ll be fun to see everyone’s work if you’re open to sharing.
Each day, I’ll post the day’s prompt in my instagram stories , so make sure you’re a follower there. I’ll also post my creations over there – and maybe do a weekly or monthly round up here/in an actual post on Instagram. I’ll never share what you share with me without your permission — so feel free to let me know if you’re game for me to post your creations too!
This is open to everyone, though I may lock certain work of my own to Patrons only.
I encourage you to be as creative as you want with these prompts. Can’t draw a comic strip? Great, make a shitty storyboard instead! Hate haikus for some reason? Fine, you weirdo, write a couplet.
And so you have everything in one spot…
- Day 1: Create a list of ten things you’re grateful for.
- Day 2: Write a short poem expressing gratitude for a loved one.
- Day 3: Take a photo of something in your environment that makes you smile.
- Day 4: Draw or paint your favorite season.

Well, one thing I’m thankful for is an almost ten-year friendship with Kate Hackett.
